Centrify Zone Provisioning Agent is a background service used in Centrify-managed environments to automate how UNIX and Linux identities are created, updated, and removed. Working with Centrify zones and policies defined in Active Directory, it provisions user and group profiles on target systems, keeps attributes in sync (such as UID/GID, shell, and home directory), and applies role-based access assignments associated with each zone. When a user’s status or group membership changes in Active Directory, the agent reflects those changes on the appropriate systems, helping streamline onboarding, role changes, and offboarding.
Key capabilities:
Typical use cases include enterprises standardizing identity and access management for UNIX and Linux hosts using Active Directory. The agent requires a Centrify infrastructure with defined zones and connectivity to Active Directory.
Centrify Zone Provisioning Agent is developed by Centrify Corporation. The most popular versions of this product among our users are: 5.0, 5.1 and 5.6.
